I’m thrilled to welcome Dr. Rianda De Roe to our clinic team. A fully qualified GP with advanced training in both Cosmetic and Skin Cancer Medicine – and a talented artist – Dr. Rianda brings a rare combination of medical precision, artistic insight, and genuine warmth to her patient care.

I first met Dr. Rianda while teaching on the NZSCM Diploma programme and was immediately impressed by her thoughtful approach to facial assessment and her skill and dexterity with injecting. As part of her final presentation, she delivered an insightful talk on the ethical portrayal of cosmetic medicine on social media – further reflecting the values that make her such a natural fit for our team.

With her patient-centred, ethical approach and commitment to clear, compassionate communication, I knew she would align beautifully with our clinic ethos.

While Nurse Sol Lim is on maternity leave, Dr. Rianda will be caring for Sol’s patients and is also welcoming new patients of her own. After seeing Dr. Rianda’s stunning pastel portraits of faces, Sol remarked, “Wow, what an artist! I’m confident my patients are in good hands.”

Dr Rianda is a New Zealand trained medical doctor, Fellow of the Royal New Zealand College of General Practitioners and holds a 2024 Postgraduate Diploma in Cosmetic Medicine (NZSCM) and an Advanced Certificate in Skin Cancer Medicine and Surgery.

With this advanced training, she now works exclusively in cosmetic and skin cancer medicine. At Hart Skin Clinic, she focuses on non-surgical treatments – especially cosmetic injectables that rejuvenate with precision. While trained in skin cancer surgery, she does not perform surgical procedures at the clinic.

Known for her gentle, thoughtful manner and meticulous eye for detail, Dr Rianda creates personalised treatment plans that reflect each patient’s unique needs and goals. Originally from South Africa, she brings together her medical expertise, artistic background as a portrait artist, and deep compassion to help patients feel confident, heard, and cared for. She is also a member of the New Zealand Society of Cosmetic Medicine, Skin Cancer College Australasia, and New Zealand Skin Cancer Doctors.
